Hello Grade 5 families;
                                  I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend. I just wanted to remind everyone that the paper bag book reports are due on Tuesday. I am looking forward to hearing all of the wonderful presentations. I also wanted to let everyone know that D.A.R.E will be starting the first week on May. Csp.Secord is very excited about getting to work with all of you and I am sure it will be a wonderful learning experience for all.
                               With all of the storm days that we have had this year, I would like to remind everyone how important your attendance is over the remainder of the school year. There will be lots happening over the next few weeks including review for provincial exams, preparation for a career fair, and writing benchmark assessments.
                                                                                                               See you all on Tuesday.

Hello everyone, welcome to the first week of the Grade 5 English Program. Please be sure to check on the homework tab for this week's homework and the other tabs will indicate what we are working on over the next couple of weeks. Hot lunch orders, homework and book orders are due on Friday. Please mark Feb.12th on your calendar as the class will be attending a Seadogs game that evening and permission slips for this event will be coming home in the near future. Please remember that the winter months are among us and it is important that your child dress appropriately for outdoor play. This would include wearing a hat, mittens, boots, a warm jacket and snowpants if they wish to play in the snow. Students are welcome to bring water bottles for class but only water is permitted in the bottles. Each day that your child has phys.ed they will be required to change into gym clothes. Personal Development is part of the grade 5 curriculum and the students are learning about personal hygiene. We are talking about the need to change our clothes after we have been perspiring and showering daily. Your child is welcome to bring in a change of clothes for gym on Mondays and they will be sent home on Friday. They are also welcome to bring in deodorant and leave it at school. Thank you.
