This year in literacy we will be dividing the day into two parts; Reading and Writing.
During the reading portion, we will follow the Daily Five Model. The components of Daily Five are;
- read to self, read to someone, work on writing, listen to reading and word work.
There will also be a very large focus on comprehension, fluency and accuracy when reading.
The class will use Raz-kids daily in the classroom and extension activities for home will be available.
